The Colonel’s new look

Area 51 may be the "UFO Capital of the World," but a familiar face was unveiled there on Nov 14. Colonel Sanders, the mustachioed KFC icon, appears in the Rachel, Nevada desert as part of a re-branding campaign, launched with help from Weber Shandwick. The new logo features the Colonel with an apron instead of his usual double-breasted suit. This event is part of the modernization of the KFC image and 14,000 of its restaurants worldwide. The "Face from Space" was constructed out of 65,000 tiles, spanning 87,000 feet, and has been photographed from 423 miles above the Earth by a GEOEye satellite.
