Mel Gibson, Michael Richards, Kelly Ripa? What does this trio have in common besides being public figures. They are public figures who have made headlines recently for prejudiced remarks. The problem: one of them, Ripa, only got there because of the knee-jerk reaction of a prominent member of the gay community – Rosie O'Donnell - who is often too quick to scream "prejudice."

Gibson's rants against Jews earlier this summer and Richards' recent stand-up routine where he continually dropped the "N" word - hard to defend either. Ripa's misgiving? On last Friday’s Live with Regis & Kelly, Clay Aiken sat in for Regis Philbin and at one point placed his hand over Ripa's mouth so he could ask a question. Ripa responded by telling Aiken not to do that. "I don't know where that hand has been," she said.

Fast forward to The View on November 21. O'Donnell ripped Ripa for being homophobic for that remark. Ripa would not take it, so she called into the show to immediately confront Rosie. After the jump, a transcript of the conversation.
