LOS ANGELES: Veteran music publicist, manager, and The Lippin Group president Ronnie Lippin died Monday following an extended battle with breast cancer. She was 59.
Lippin, who worked with musicians ranging from Brian Wilson to Prince, began her career as chief publicist at MCA Records; her resume also included senior-level communications stints at Elton John's Rocket Records and RSO Records. In 1989, Lippin joined LA-based The Lippin Group, the entertainment PR and marketing firm started by her husband Dick.
Lippin is survived by her husband, as well as a daughter, Alex, both of whom continue to lead the agency.
