Publicis to acquire Digitas

PARIS: Publicis Groupe has announced plans to acquire Digitas in a deal valued at $1.3 billion. Publicis will pay Digitas shareholders $13.50 per share as part of the deal, which has been approved by the boards of both companies. In a statement, Publicis CEO Maurice Levy called the deal will help with Publicis' goal of boosting its presence in the digital marketplace.
