Public debauchery isn't just the domain of international celebrities like Britney, Lindsay, and Paris. Two previously unknown beauty queens have gotten in on the action and were rewarded with tons of press.

Who knew Miss USA (Tara Conner) or Miss Teen USA (Katie Blair) until the headlines announced that they were partying together? Result: Miss USA gets to appear before dozens of cameras to tearfully thank Donald Trump for mercifully sparing her crown, and now we know there is such a thing as Miss Teen USA. (Taking a cue, Miss Nevada was stripped of her crown because of semi-nude photos. Pun intended.)

Ms. Blair made it to CNN.com when she was dumped by MADD because they don't feel she "can be an effective spokesperson for underage drinking." Ms. Conner is checking into rehab. The whole situation is humiliating enough to be an excellent example of why kids should stay away from booze. But aside from that, the various brouhahas took pageantry, a pop culture anachronism that's been in steep decline over the last few years, and made it something to talk about again. These aren't old fashioned wholesome beauty queens but modern-day party girls like our beloved panty-less starlets.

And if that weren't enough, Trump gets a lotta play via a feud with perpetual provocateur, The View's Rosie O'Donnell. Happy holidays for everyone.
