This week's issue of The NYT Magazine took a look back at some of the major and not-so-major visionaries that passed on in 2006.

Among them, a reverential story about Arthur Schiff, ad copy writer for the Ginsu knife, who died at the age of 66. The urgent "But wait!" and "Act now!" that infomercials are known for were largely coined by Schiff, who worked for a direct-response agency at the time.
