DULLES, VA: AOL began 2007 with a new management team and longtime employee Tricia Primrose Wallace as the new head of communications.
Wallace's first day as EVP began took place on January 2, as she returned from three months of maternity leave. Wallace now supervises 60 people, including staff in internal and external communications and investor relations.
She replaced former boss John Buckley, who resigned mid-December with a group of executives, after former NBC exec Randy Falco took the helm of the Internet company. She reports to Falco.
"For me, it is an exciting time to be in this job," Wallace said. "There is new momentum; new leadership."
Wallace would not discuss specific PR plans for AOL for 2007, but she said, "There is a new and different story from what AOL has been known for in the past."
Formerly a VP at Time Warner, she has been with the company for more than a decade.
