DURHAM, NC: The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) recently hired Capstrat to handle recruitment, PR, and advertising for its new operations headquarters in Durham.
AICPA's executive headquarters is in New York, but the group recently moved its operations - including human resources and publishing of CPA exams - from New Jersey to Durham, where it plans eventually to employ 400. Colcomgroup also works with AICPA on a campaign to promote "financial literacy."
No details on the length or size of the contract were provided, though Capstrat account director David Chatham said the RFP process involved several firms in the state's Research Triangle area.
With recruitment, "we can look for everything from local sponsorship opportunities to direct communications with those organizations that have the targeted skills," Chatham said, while financial literacy will be a key focus of community relations.
