NEW YORK: Pearlfinders, a London-based business intelligence firm with a marketing communications-heavy client base, is expanding into the US market.
The company has an established presence in the UK and worldwide, but this is its first foray into the lucrative territory of America. Pearlfinders offers reports with client business leads, media trend analysis, contacts, and exclusive interviews with client brand leaders that predict upcoming market trends.
"We have a rapidly growing business in the UK and Europe. And PR agencies, and other marketing [services] agencies that subscribe to our services in Europe have sister companies, of course," said Bill Colbourne, CEO of Pearlfinders. "The word migrated across the Atlantic about what we were up to, so there was a certain pull."
The agency "soft-launched" in the US last year, and already has clients here including Fleishman-Hillard, Ogilvy, and major advertising firms like Saatchi & Saatchi, TBWA, and Leo Burnett. In the UK, clients include Weber Shandwick, Hill & Knowlton, and Porter Novelli, according to Colbourne.
What sets Pearlfinders apart from its competition, he said, is its practice of interviewing thousands of "brand decision-makers."
The company is working with Trylon SMR on media relations efforts in the US.
