As Wonkette notes, the Hillary Clinton campaign Web site is trying to get interactive with visitors through a vote for a favorite campaign song. If Reagan had “Proud to Be an American,” Bill Clinton had “Don’t Stop”, Hillary should have … ? The nine choices (which can be played in their entirety on the site) are all upbeat for one reason or another, naturally, but some might have more appeal to certain demographics than another: “Rock This Country!” by Shania Twain is one for the heartland, perhaps, while “City of Blinding Light” by U2 surely has more appeal with East and Left Coast yuppies. Those with other thoughts on the best campaign song have the option to fill in the blank.
