NEW YORK: Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles (H&S) has selected Manning Selvage & Lee as US AOR for an account valued in the high six figures.
Tashi Lassalle, VP of brand and communications at H&S, said MS&L will begin work immediately on a number of projects, including an integrated thought-leadership program, an influencer relations effort, and a media relations campaign.
"We wanted to work with a partner who understood digital media and media relations," Lassalle said, "and could offer us integrated communications platforms on thought leadership."
She added that H&S also wanted a US-based agency that could work with its other firms around the world. H&S currently works with agencies in France, Germany, Russia, the Middle East, the UK, Spain, and Switzerland.
"We've built up our independent network overseas, so it was crucial that we have a partner in place in the US who could work with those agencies," Lassalle said. "We felt MS&L had the appetite to do that."
She noted that PR will play a key role in CEO Kevin Kelly's plan to make H&S more global, transparent, and dynamic.
"This has traditionally been a very safe industry," Lassalle said. "There hasn't been too much innovation, and Kelly is committed to changing that."
Andy Tannen, MS&L SVP and director of strategy and development, will lead the account out of the New York office. The agency competed against four other large and midsize firms in the final review.
