NEW ORLEANS: New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin's administration is currently looking for an agency to communicate the progress of ongoing recovery efforts in the city to displaced residents.
The Times-Picayune reported that New York-based UniWorld Group Washington, DC-based firms The Clinton Group and Walls Communications, and New Orleans-based firms EBONetworks and Orgena Enterprises are the five considered agencies.
While several sources confirmed they were under consideration for the work, details of what the work would entail hadn't been discussed. The city is looking for assistance communicating to the large number of residents that are still living in other cities. The five main hubs the work will concentrate on will be Houston; Dallas; Atlanta; Jackson, MS; and Mobile, AL.
The sources indicated they expected to hear from the city within the next few weeks.
