For years we have heard about the next Michael Jordan. Likewise, for years everyone who has been tagged with that label has failed to step up and take the throne.
Tomorrow night the NBA and the world get to see if the young King James can be what David Stern and the rest of the NBA hierarchy want him [LeBron James] to be…the next Michael, when he faces the San Antonio Spurs in the 2007 NBA Finals.
What we should all do is sit back and just let him do his thing like he did last week when he dropped 48 against the Detroit Pistons in one of the greatest performances ever seen in sports. The kid is only 22; Michael was nowhere close to the NBA finals at that age, which means that LeBron may be able to eventually become more than Mike. I doubt that will ever happen, but it’s sure going to fun watching this kid make his run at the crown.
