NEW YORK: Omnicom Group today reported that PR generated $321.7 million in the second quarter of 2007, representing an increase of 11.9% over Q2 of 2006.
During its Q2 earnings conference call the holding company also said that PR generated 10.3% of the company's revenue for the quarter. For the year PR represents 10.3% of the company's overall revenue.
During the call Randall Weisenburger, EVP and CFO of Omnicom said "public relations had an excellent quarter."
Net income for the second quarter of 2007 increased 13.4% to $276.7 million from $244.1 million in the second quarter of 2006. Worldwide revenue increased 10.7% to $3,126.1 million compared to $2,823.4 million for the same period in 2006, while domestic revenue for the second quarter of 2007 increased 8.1% to $1,659.7 million compared to $1,535.4 million in the second quarter of 2006.
