WE strengthens public affairs practice with LaVallee

WASHINGTON: Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has named Derek LaVallee VP of its Washington-based public affairs practice. In his new role, LaVallee will be responsible for providing counsel to both existing agency clients, and expanding WE's account roster throughout the US. LaVallee will also work closely with the practice's branches in Seattle and Brussels, Belgium, to develop and manage global public affairs programs. Prior to joining WE, LaVallee was a senior executive at Susan Davis International in Washington. He earlier served in the White House and Department of Defense during the Clinton administration.
