This article in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer sparked a talk-radio discussion that I happened to hear while I was in Seattle earlier this week. The question was whether or not it was easier now for women to return to senior positions in the workplace, after taking time off to raise their kids.

The issue is close to the heart of Weber Shandwick's Gail Heimann, who has been a source for a couple of my columns on the topic. Public relations is in dire need of aggressive strategies for helping it's great women back to the office. Half the battle is in identifying the people to keep track of as their lives take these detours. But too often they are just falling out of the company and off the radar.

Let's hear your thoughts.
