Medialink's Q2 results mixed

NEW YORK: Medialink reported mixed results for the second quarter ending June 30, 2007 with a revenue increase of 9.6% to $8.3 million over the same time period last year, but a net loss of $1.7 million.

NEW YORK: Medialink reported mixed results for the second quarter ending June 30, 2007 with a revenue increase of 9.6% to $8.3 million over the same time period last year, but a net loss of $1.7 million.

The second quarter also showed an operating loss of $2.2 million.

Medialink subsidiary, Teletrax, a digital video tracking service launched in April 2002, fell short of company objectives for the first six months of 2007, but showed a 30.4% increase in revenues for the quarter, equivalent to $191,000.

Despite the mixed results, Medialink president and CEO, Laurence Moskowitz emphasized how the positive aspects of the numbers.

"I think many companies would be very envious of that growth," said Moskowitz. "We want to grow faster."

Operations results for periods ending June 30, 2006 have been adjusted to reflect US Newswire, which was sold to PR Newswire in September 2006.
