PHILADELPHIA: Comcast Corp. is preparing to hear final pitches for its second outstanding PR account, a piece of corporate reputation work worth seven figures, PRWeek has learned.
The account will involve corporate reputation and image work, according to sources close to the search. CEO Brian Roberts will attend the final presentations.
Sources said that the cable services provider and communications company has selected the final two agencies that will compete for the corporate reputation business and that Comcast is not accepting any more pitches.
While the account is for seven figures, the winning agency will not be designated AOR. The Abernathy Macgregor Group remains Comcast's corporate AOR, as it has been for more than 10 years, said a company spokesperson.
PR has been a strong focus for Comcast recently. PRWeek re-ported last week on another RFP the company issued in late July for corporate communications support.
