Advertisers are offering consumers up to $800 a month to wrap their cars and SUVs in advertisements and become mobile billboards, reports The New York Times.

The Times reports that tens of thousands of consumers have signed up to take part and that this new ad trend is getting so popular that car owners "have been willing to limit where they shop and abide by a code of conduct" while driving their automobiles.
