ORLANDO: Greens Worldwide (GRWW) has relaunched its subsidiary, the US Pro Golf Tour (USPGT), and will now attempt to lure back pro golfers and investors through a number of communications campaigns.
With the relaunch, professional golfers learned that their 2007 membership fees would be honored for next year. The tour was suspended last spring while the organization underwent financial restructuring, but play never resumed.
The company tapped E&E Communications to help with the investor relations campaign.
Mark Edwards, VP communications and media relations at SportsQuest, the new controlling company for GRWW said a majority of the players he’s heard from have responded positively.
“The negative comments center on not having an opportunity to play a full schedule in 2007,” Edwards said. “Some are bitter, and that’s understandable.”
