China signed an agreement on Tuesday stating it would prohibit the use of lead paint on toys exported to the US, the AP reports. The announcement was made at the second US-China meeting on consumer product safety and was negotiated after the recent recalls by Mattel of millions of toys decorated with paint containing the metal, which can be toxic if ingested.
