According to politico.com (disclaimer: you are entitled to believe in the accuracy of this story as much as you generally trust the accuracy
of politico.com), GQ
magazine spiked a story
that took a critical look at infighting on the Hillary Clinton campaign, after the campaign threatened to withdraw the magazine's access to Bill Clinton-- who is slated to be GQ
's cover boy in December.
editor Jim Nelson chose to kill the Hillary piece in exchange for the Bill piece, Politico says. If true, this would violate the basic precept of journalism: The more they don't want you to run the story, the better the story is.
Grow a pair, GQ!
