CHICAGO: Lynn Hanessian, GM at Edelman Chicago's health practice and US director of health, has joined Zeno Group as CEO. She replaces Jerry Epstein, who is now a consultant at the firm.
Although the move comes just months after Zeno lost its signature Oracle account, Epstein's shift was not related to losing the tech client, said Richard Edelman, chairman of Zeno, which is a subsidiary of parent company Daniel J. Edelman Inc.
However, John Berard, former MD of Zeno's San Francisco office, left the firm in June because of the loss. Oracle constituted the majority of the agency's tech practice, which has now been scaled back, added Edelman.
The firm will focus on its consumer, corporate PR, public affairs, and health practice areas, he said.
Hanessian will be based in the agency's Chicago office and will report to Edelman.
