CDC, FDA, FTC hire Ogilvy

WASHINGTON: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently contracted with Ogilvy PR for a number of consumer education initiatives. For the CDC, Ogilvy will help develop a community health portal; redesign educational materials and messaging for hepatitis prevention and awareness; and conduct a campaign encouraging youth ages 11 to 17 to avoid unhealthy dating relationships. For the FDA, the firm will promote awareness of food terrorism. In addition, the Federal Trade Commission has hired Ogilvy to promote the National Do Not Call Registry. Contract terms were not disclosed.
