“Gatorade Tiger,” will be released next March in a cherry blend, citrus blend, and grape flavors. Though the exact cost of the deal was not disclosed, last month, Golfweek magazine reported that the terms of the deal included a five year agreement worth as much as $100 million.
"Gatorade has been part of my game plan for years, whether I'm training or competing, so this is an ideal match," Woods said in a statement. "I'm eager to launch my first signature product in a few months and look forward to developing additional sports performance beverages with Gatorade in the coming years."
A video of Woods at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute undergoing a sweat analysis test was made public through the company.
Previously, Woods had made endorsement deals in a variety of categories, ranging from Gillette shaving products to Accenture financial services. His first official beverage endorsement was with Asahi Coffee in Japan.
