WASHINGTON: The embassy of Pakistan has hired Cassidy & Associates to help promote the country as an important strategic partner to the US, under a one-year, $1.2-million contract that ends on September 30, 2008. Work on behalf of the embassy will include preparation of briefing materials, speeches, talking points, correspondence, and other communications emphasizing supposed political, economic, and social changes under way in the country. Outreach will include print, broadcast, and Internet media, including foreign policy and political blogs.
