According to the New York Post, Microsoft and Google are currently in a battle to see who can throw staggering amounts of money at Facebook faster.
In other “staggering amounts of money” news, Sports Illustrated's Rick Reilly reportedly landed a deal with ESPN that will pay him $2 million per year. And if all that staggering money is too staggering, just check your Google stock; insane person Jim Cramer put a new price target of $750 on it.

NYT Co. somehow managed to eke out a profit this quarter of $13.4 million, just enough to buy pizzas for the staff. In a ridiculous development, this may even prompt some analysts to recommend buying the stock instead of running from it as if being pursued by a puma. Times journalists are celebrating the victory by building their own personal brands, in hopes of making Gawker one day.
