CHICAGO: Cision has launched CisionPoint, a media research, distribution, and analysis tool two years in the making.
CisionPoint offers all of Cision's current separate capabilities in one software platform, and aims to free customers from multiple contracts. Features include audio interviews with journalists discussing how much they liked a pitch, matching news coverage with press release distribution, and previewing and sharing video clips.
"This is not just an enhancement, but a ground-up, built from scratch Web 2.0 platform," said Joe Bernardo, COO and president of Cision North America. "The biggest benefit to clients is the ability to make one phone call and have access to the resources they need for whatever aspect of their job. Clients sign on once in the morning and sign off in the afternoon and never have to switch horses."
The introduction of CisionPoint will happen in stages over the next 12 to 18 months, with the company taking the software platform global, migrating existing clients, and tweaking the technology as necessary.
