DEARBORN, MI: Ray Day has been appointed VP of communications at Ford Motor Company. Day will now be leading all of Ford's global external and internal communications and PR activities. He will report to Jim Farley, the company's new group VP of marketing and communications. Day is replacing Charlie Holleran, who leaves the company after more than three years of leading the automaker's communications team.
Day most recently served as Ford's executive director of corporate communications and has been spearheading the company's communications strategy, including plans to transform its communications model so it can better deal with today's consumer and changing media landscape.
