PARIS: Publicis reports a 10.8% growth in revenues for the third quarter to 1.122 billion* Euros (about $1.614 billion). Revenues so far for 2007 are 3.370 billion Euros (about $4.85 billion) or 7.5% growth for the first nine months of the year. In a statement, Publicis Groupe chairman and CEO Maurice Levy says he's pleased by a 4.6% organic growth after what he called a "disappointing" first half of the year. Levy highlights their media sections (such as Saatchi & Saatchi and the Public Groupe Media Networks) and Digitas for their double-digit growth. Publicis Healthcare has been struggling due to overall problems in the healthcare sector. He also cited the impact of exchange rates, which, Levy says, brought revenue numbers down by 33 million Euros. North America has shown the largest growth of all international regions. *Previous reportage erroneously cited these third quarter revenues in the "millions," not billions. We regret the error.
