CNNMoney.com reports that health-care workers at 14 California hospitals ratified a new contract with Tenet Healthcare Corp. this week. PRWeek reported on Tenet Healthcare's PR reshuffle on October 15.
“SEIU United Healthcare Workers-West said the ratification ended bargaining that lasted more than a year. Votes counted on Saturday showed 98% of the workers, represented by SEIU United Healthcare Workers-West and SEIU Local 121RN, approved the tentative pact reached two weeks ago. The contract includes a "no subcontracting" clause, ensuring hospitals are staffed by trained health-care workers, and an increase in base-wage rates. The contract expires on March 31, 2011.”

Now, it's been reported by Reuters that the Foundation's original $100 laptops have been increased to $200.
