Monitor Clipper invests in W2 Group

WALTHAM, MA: Monitor Clipper, the private equity arm of Monitor Group, has invested $30 million in W2 Group to build out the first Web 2.0-centric holding company. Monitor has made a total commitment of more than $100 million. The investment will span across Racepoint Group, Digital Influence Group, and investments in and acquisitions of firms and technologies for digital community building, social networking, Web publishing, mobile, online research and analytics, and domain-specific services such as healthcare.
