NEW YORK: Patrice Adcroft, a veteran magazine editor and journalist, has been named editorial director of Discover Media. In this newly created position, Adcroft will oversee the editorial direction across the entire Discover brand, including Discover Magazine, DiscoverMagazine.com, the newsstand-only "Discover Presents” special issues, and Discover books. Throughout her career, Adcroft has held three editor-in-chief positions and worked at Time Inc., Hearst, and Primemedia. Prior to joining Discover, Adcroft was executive editor at Marie Claire from 2004-2006 and editor-in-chief at Seventeen from 1998-2001.
