In media news this Monday morning: investors are confident the Sirius-XM merger will be approved; Jay Leno will pay staffers out of his own pocket after NBC laid them off; and the founder of Facebook ironically wants more privacy.
Spotlight: Don Imus
Don Imus is back on the air this morning, inspiring much media chattering about what he will say, how he will say it, and who he will say it to. Howard Stern is talking smack, Al Sharpton says he'll wait and see, and advertisers are a mixed bag, watching with caution. Imus also brought in Karith Foster, a black, Jewish comedian, as a sidekick and, perhaps, shield against further racism allegations.
