Mercury Public Affairs hires managing directors

SACRAMENTO: Mercury Public Affairs has hired Adam Mendelsohn and Sara Jones as MDs in its California office. Jones previously served in crisis communications roles with boutiques and within the crisis units of global PR agencies, specializing in litigation and labor practices. Mendelsohn was formerly deputy chief of staff and communications director to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Before joining the Schwarzenegger administration, Mendelsohn worked in Washington, DC as VP and director of media relations for the DCI Group where he advised Fortune 50 clients on media strategy, crisis response, and public affairs.
