Seattle Times to cut 45 newsroom jobs

SEATTLE: The Seattle Times Co. said it will cut staff at its flagship newspaper by 200 – including 45 newsroom positions. At least 16 editorial employees will be laid off, although that number could reach 30, according to a report in the Seattle Times. The newspaper has 1,845 employees.
