EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ: Adecco Group North America, the Fortune 500 staffing and
HR service provider, selected MWW Group as AOR. The one-year contract is worth more than $1 million.
Adecco, which has more than 7,000 offices worldwide, considers PR an important part of its overall marketing strategy, said Ed Blust, SVP of marketing for Adecco.
MWW began work on the account March 1, including media relations for Adecco and some of its vertical programs (such as Adecco Engineering and Technical and Ajilon Consulting), which will span across regional and national markets.
Adecco chose MWW after a competitive search that included Edelman and Weber Shandwick, according to Blust. Prior to issuing the RFP in late 2007, the company had worked with Ogilvy PR since 2001, Blust added.
"It's a prized piece of business because of [Adecco's] size and the opportunity to help them create a global reputation," said Michael Kempner, CEO of MWW.
