Marcia Horowitz, a senior executive VP at Rubenstein PR, confirmed that the agency recently added Nina Garcia as a client, as other outlets had reported, but would not specify the capacity in which the agency would represent Garcia.
When asked about the recent allegations that Rubenstein asked its interns to leave anonymous, positive comments about Garcia on various gossip blogs, disguising their affiliation, Horowitz denied the rumor. “It’s not us,” she said. “When we post comments we believe in making clear who we are.”
Garcia was reportedly fired as fashion director of Elle magazine, but offered a position as editor at-large until the end of the fifth season of Project Runway.
