CowParade expands to 13 cities, with JS2 as AOR

NEW YORK: CowParade, the public art exhibit that started with life-size cow sculptures in Chicago 10 years ago, is taking over 13 cities worldwide in 2008 and 2009, and JS2 Communications, which was hired as AOR March 1, will handle PR for the project. Some of its stops include Madrid, Brazil, Tijuana, Rome, Seoul, Taiwan and San Diego. According to Alissa Pinck, the GM and VP of JS2, the agency's first project with CowParade was the launch of an e-commerce site at the beginning of April, and the next event will be the International Licensing Expo in June. As for media outreach, JS2 will tie-in CowParade to holidays throughout the year and will reach out to Web sites and blogs to link back to the new e-commerce site.
