NEW YORK: CBS said May 15 that it will purchase CNET Networks for approximately $1.8 billion or $11.50 per share. CNET owns news and information sites including CNET.com, ZDNet.com, GameSpot.com, UrbanBaby.com, BNET.com, and TechRepublic.com, among others.
