Dunkin' Donuts spread the word via a Facebook group, where users could invite their friends to meet them at Dunkin' Donuts. More than 132,000 Facebook users have confirmed that they will attend Free Iced Coffee Day, which will encourage customers to try the Berry Berry Iced Coffee. But Dunkin' Donuts isn't just giving away coffee, it is also donating $80,000 to the National Police Athletic League's Youth Leadership Program.
McDonald's also used its Web site to introduce the new items and to inform visitors of sample day. Additionally, the campaign encourages customers to visit the WhatCameFirst.com Web site, where visitors can vote on the chicken versus egg debate.
