Actress Sharon Stone apologized for remarks made at the Cannes Film Festival where she said, in response to the recent earthquakes in China and the country's relationship with Tibet, "Is that karma—when you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?" After the remark, China officials banned films featuring Stone and Christian Dior, with which Stone has a modeling contract, pulled all ads featuring the actress from China.
"In the course of the interview I made inappropriate remarks and for any harm created towards the Chinese people I am extremely sad and apologize," Stone said, according to Reuters.
