McClellan brings spotlight to PR industry

Scott McClellan and his new book, What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception, continues to make headlines - many of them negative toward the PR industry.

Scott McClellan and his new book, What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception, continues to make headlines - many of them negative toward the PR industry. He's the subject of a blog post today on The Weekly Standard; The Boston Herald published an op-ed about McClellan; and a book review on Bloomberg talks about how “the ugly art of public relations is taken to new lows” in McClellan's description of his job. A member of the PR industry, Bob Alotta, wrote to the Washington Post, to defend the industry, stating that “integrity” is all-important to a good PR pro.
