Pat Tobin, cofounder of NBPRS, passes away

LOS ANGELES: Patricia Tobin, the president and CEO of Tobin & Associates, died on June 10 at the age of 65, after a battle with cancer. Tobin, who co-founded the National Black Public Relations Society (NBPRS), was also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and a dedicated activist for minorities, women, and youth. Funeral arrangements have not been announced, but the NBPRS will honor her at the organization's 10th Annual Conference and Career Fair in November. Donations can be made to the Pat Tobin Scholarship Fund or Pat Tobin Memorial Fund, 4929 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 245, Los Angeles, CA 90010.
