5W Public Relations Web site is back up, and we're told was unrelated to the blog misconduct issues.
5W Public Relations is taking a beating after JTA reported that someone alleging to be an intern called the news service on Thursday and, while refusing to give his name, said he that using a computer at SVP Juda Engelmayer’s apartment on July 8 at 9:51 pm EST to post fraudulent comments on blogs without Engelmayer’s knowledge. Blogger Shmarya Rosenberg said Engelmayer told him that an intern created the comments and was fired.
At 10 am this morning, 5W’s own Web site was offline, with the homepage stating only that the site is down for maintenance. 5W president and CEO Ronn Torossian said July 10 that the firm’s IT department was investigating the claims. More details as they come in.
