Many sports buffs in the Northeast are familiar with radio personality Chris “Mad Dog” Russo after his 19 years on New York's WFAN with broadcasting partner Mike Francesa. However, Sirius XM is planning to introduce Russo, who signed on this month to host The Mad Dog Sports Show on weekdays on the satellite radio network, to a national audience via a media outreach push prior to his September 15 debut.
Russo will chat with national and local print, television, and radio outlets, said a Sirius spokesperson, who added that the signing has attracted considerable attention from entertainment and media reporters, in addition to sports journalists.
