As of this week, Barry Diller's IAC/InterActiveCorp broke into five companies: Ticketmaster, HSN, time-share business Interval Leisure Group, Tree.com (formerly Lending Tree), and IAC.

We spoke to Albert Lopez, VP of strategic communications at Ticketmaster, and Wendy Webb, SVP of strategic and financial communications, about the spin-off in June:

"The spinoff will allow Ticketmaster to sharpen its strategic focus and interact with new audiences like share-holders and Wall Street," Webb said, via e-mail.

The company plans to push the message that Ticketmaster is trusted and secure, provides flexible solutions, is a technology leader, and is the gateway to live entertainment experiences, Lopez added.
