Alterian reorganizes marketing department

CHICAGO: Integrated marketing platform provider, Alterian, has reorganized its marketing department, announcing a number of promotions effective immediately. The promotions follow the acquisition of Mediasurface, the London-based Web content management software company. Joe Stanhope will assume the role of VP of platform strategy, responsible for identifying new capabilities and markets for the Alterian Integrated Marketing Platform. Previously, he was director of global product marketing. Ian Truscott is now VP of Web content management product strategy; he was previously CTO of Mediasurface's Morello product. In addition, David Fowler is now VP of e-mail marketing strategy and Gary Brooks is director of database and operational marketing. Each is responsible for developing market strategy, coordinating the launch of new products, and both internal and external communications.
