Minielly was previously at General Motors of Canada, where he was a PR specialist, and before that spent three years at the automaker's PR agency of record, Environics Communications.
Minielly told PRWeek he is responsible “for supervising all Canadian PR initiatives” for Mercedes-Benz Canada. Those initiatives will cover everything from vehicle launches to consumer lifestyle communications, as well as corporate and investor relations. He said Mercedes-Benz Canada was looking for another body to help with its marketing communications efforts, as it handles its PR entirely in-house. Minielly reports to JoAnne Caza, marketing director for Mercedes-Benz Canada.
While GM Canada, Chrysler Canada, and Honda Canada recently reported vehicle sales declines for August, Mercedes-Benz Canada announced record sales.
