TNS recommends shareholders accept offer

LONDON: After numerous attempts by WPP Group to acquire Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS), TNS executives released a statement recommending that shareholders accept the latest WPP offer. WPP’s efforts first began with a hostile bid in July. By October 8, 82% of investors supported the acquisition, which totals about $2 billion. The period for further acceptance has been extended through October 22.
